Runners, it?s time to lace up your running shoes for the fourth annual ?Get Green? 5K run/walk on Saturday, October 6 at 8 am. The race is sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Georgia Tech School of Building Construction, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit HomeAid Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that builds and renovates transitional housing facilities that serve homeless individuals and families in metro Atlanta..
The race will begin on the Georgia Tech campus at the building construction annex. Race day check-in begins at 7 a.m. with the first race starting at 8 a.m. All participants can park in the nearby Klaus Deck. Plus, if you register before September 21, you can take advantage of lower participation costs: free for children under 12, $12 for students and $20 for adults.
Awards will be given to each age group immediately following the races, and participants should also stick around for refreshments and giveaways!
